GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sales Manager supports sales efforts and is responsible for sales development and coordination of sales teams to achieve targets. The Sales Manager sets sales targets and monitors performance of the sales organization. Interacts with customers and the sales team providing training, marketing content and support for account management.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for sales planning by territory including target definition, customer enrollment priority lists, and customer productivity targets.
  • Oversees sales program definition and communication to field and customers.
  • Leads development of promotional initiatives, trade marketing campaigns and in-store activations programs; directly oversees their execution in the market.
  • Identifies opportunities for new product development and supports new product introduction with the sales team and customers.
  • Provides training on product and sales programs; organizes seminars to update on new products/programs.
  • Assists and participates in selling to customers and trains associates.
  • Supports the Business Director in planning and forecasting activities.
  • Provides support for customers initial enrollment in the program.
  • Provides reporting on sales performance at national, regional and territory level.
  • Travels – 60%.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role working for a Lens manufacturer or Vision Care Insurance provider
  • Prior experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
