Join our team and experience Workday!
It's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they're doing. At Workday, we're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business of enterprise applications. We work hard, and we're serious about what we do. But we like to have a good time, too. In fact, we run our company with that principle in mind every day: One of our core values is fun.
We are looking for a senior product manager to be responsible for Business Intelligence and Analytics in Workday's cloud analytics platform. With the acquisition of Platfora, Workday is deeply investing in our analytics technology stack. Workday customers have data about their people and finances in Workday, but often there are other systems that are either legacy, provide a different level of detail, or provide relevant context to the data. Bringing this data into the Workday cloud and combining it with data already in Workday allows customers to answer questions that they have never been able to answer before. These insights are surfaced to executives, managers, and end users through Workday reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc through data discovery.
This product management role is responsible for several critical pieces of the analytics experience: ad hoc visual analysis environment, smart data discovery, and the visualization rendering engine. As such, you will be responsible for setting the vision on how to launch and evolve this new area of Workday as well as how to integrate with existing capabilities, such as reports, dashboards, and worksheets. As this role is responsible for a significant user experience around exploring and analyzing data, you must collaborate closely with designers and user researchers in order to build a great customer experience that prioritizes both functionality and usability. You must also be passionate about the underlying analytics that enable customers to perform complex analysis. This will require that you interface with back-end teams to enhance capabilities in the query engine to perform such analysis. Understanding and advocating for user requirements in this capacity is key to providing rich end-to-end analytical capabilities.
As a Senior Product Manager, your position will require you to foster a strong customer community. You must be strong in outbound activities, such as working directly with customers, Sales, Presales, Customer Success Management, Product Marketing, and other teams close to Workday customers. You must have effective verbal and written communication.
