Workday's Information Technology (IT) Organization is seeking individuals to participate in our cloud technology revolution. The successful candidate will be a self-starter effective at discerning what needs to be done and then driving to completion.  They have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Experience working in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities is a must. 

This position will provide senior program leadership in the IT organization to guide and direct IT Business Operations capabilities.  The individual will be responsible for establishing world class portfolio and financial management capabilities.  The individual will drive these strategic enterprise-wide initiatives including senior executive presentations, change management and technology team deliverables. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute processes for IT and CIO organization financial, workforce and portfolio management 
  • Drive and evangelize holistic solutions articulating and integrating business and technology strategies and life cycle processes
  • Communicate and facilitate at executive and technical levels for all aspects of initiative development and delivery
  • Build organizational change management programs for new processes
  • Provide portfolio management expertise in the development of governance processes
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, RFI, RFP, MSA, contract negotiation and closure
  • Develop integration plans using multiple vendor products
  • Drive the resolution of cross organizational problems: conflicting program priorities, technical issues, executive  decision making
  • Work on and complete multiple projects and deliverables with limited supervision
  • Drive standards and process development and improvements
  • Mentor and guide project and program managers across the organization

Experience/ Skills Requirements

  • 15+ years overall work experience in the technical industry preferably in IT/ Technical Operations organizations in supporting worldwide enterprise infrastructure, systems and services
  • 5+ years of experience in a program management role facilitating IT portfolio, workforce and financial planning and management services
  • Respected and trusted leader with a proven track record of achievement; performance driven
  • Experience building organizational change management programs for enterprise wide implementations of financial and portfolio management, service management leveraging technologies
  • Experience in vendor evaluations, RFI, RFP, contract negotiation and closure; MSA experience 
  • Extensive experience in project/program management, procurement, resource management, scheduling, planning, deployment, support and training including experience in working within PMO, Change Management and Governance types of environments
  • Excellent understanding of process management, improvement practices, change management process, operation services
  • Excellent training and presentation skills with solid executive communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally with other leaders
  • Experience working in a global environment, leading teams located in multiple regions
  • Core knowledge in Agile, Service Management, ITIL and SDLC Methodology preferred. 
  • Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, management information systems, or computer engineering; Masters degree in related field preferred.
  • IT certification (ITIL) or equivalent preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
