What you’ll be doing...

The Director of Marketing will build a Product and Segment marketing organization that cares for the lifecycle of business customers that transact across Verizon Wireless’ distribution channels. He/She will be responsible for driving segment and product marketing initiatives that drive customer growth, revenue accretion, and expand our share of the technology wallet with current and prospective business customers. This team will report into the National Business Channels Marketing and Operations organization and will leverage cross-organizational partnerships to transform the segment and marketing capabilities of Verizon Wireless.

Specific organizational responsibilities include:

  • Build and develop, in collaboration with the product teams, a product marketing team responsible for driving product marketing strategy; including business case development, developing segment user stories, building marketing strategy for business segments campaigns, and working with segments marketers on effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Create marketing communications, support sales & field through EBC and customer meetings. Develop a feedback loop for product performance, gather market research including addressable and selling markets, work with GTM team on timely & adequate entrance into the markets / segments.
  • Define marketing requirements for each of the business segments. Assess & work with CRM to create marketing programs to enable products & services by segment. Work with Strategy, Product Marketing and the Field teams to create segment specific content. Develop and gather feedback from the Field to streamline the distribution strategy for segment penetration.
  • Provide business-side leadership around our digital transformation efforts, playing a key role in defining our next generation of online solutions. Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of our next generation digital environment including platform enhancements and business-side solutions. Manage the social ecosystem, including, but not limited to social advocacy, LinkedIn and others.
  • Create internal and external marketing materials, videos, collateral used to showcase products and services sold by Verizon Wireless. Manage agency creative budgets and coordinate with Market teams to build relevant content.
  • Create and manage multiple Marketing programs, such as, but not limited to event coordination, EBCs, trade shows and technology showcases.
  • Oversee the Business customer experience (Voice of the Customer); i.e. Net Promoter Score and Satisfaction.
  • Implement and manage a Marketing Automation Platform that drives high performing demand and lead generation programs as well as customer engagement campaigns. Create/oversee a data driven marketing - customer acquisition customer & referral strategy. Work with other teams including Sales, CRM, and Product Marketing to drive lead automation and process.

What we’re looking for...

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred
  • 9+ years of B2B segment marketing, product marketing and marketing communications experience
  • Experience within a technology driven company
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with senior executives
