Location: Mt. Sterling, IL or Chesterfield, MO

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Application Development Manager

Salary Range: $18.68 - $28.03 per hour, plus bonus opportunity

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will team with the business and technical staff to deliver solutions and improve functionality to facilitate business opportunities using the Agile software development methodology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Demonstrate and apply software engineering skills in appropriate programming languages on the appropriate platforms
  • Integrate purchased applications
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing applications.
  • Participate in activities related to agile software development methodologies
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders from the business, working closely with Product Owners
  • Deliver value against roadmap
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or applicable field
  • Creative & innovative thinking
  • Demonstratable technical abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Collaborative teamwork



YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Experience with application systems involved in the support of ecommerce, food distribution, or transportation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices
  • Experience with one or more:

    • Microsoft: C#, .Net, SQL
    • IBM Iseries: COBOL, NodeJS
    • Salesforce
    • Peoplesoft
    • JDA




ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Schedule - Some nights and weekends with on call rotation to support business needs.
  • Travel - Occasional overnight travel for outside trainings and meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
