Customer Solutions Specialist

Location: Des Moines, IA

Job type: Full time

What You'll Do



  • Remote jobsite material management and customer service.
  • Practices good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant telephone and email etiquette, and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company at work or during company travel.
  • Handles difficulties with customers and works directly to resolve issues related to fabrication, site preparation etc.
  • Assists customers with shipping discrepancies and defective materials on job-related orders.
  • Expedites picking and staging material when material is needed onsite.
  • Resolves customer order problems and complaints promptly.
  • Acquires, uses, and continuously develops personal technical knowledge of general and specialty merchandise items to assist customers and other company personnel.
  • Ability to prepare quotations for customers.
  • Identifies, uses, and maintains appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.



What You Bring



  • A college degree and/or equivalent industry experience is requested.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
  • Previous project management or electrical sales experience is a plus.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with little supervision.
  • A college degree and/or equivalent industry experience is requested.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat.
  • Clean driving record.
