THE JOB:

The Senior Slot Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Slot Technical Department in alignment with departmental practices, policies, and procedures. This includes managing maintenance schedules, coordinating equipment installations, and leading a team of Slot Technicians to ensure efficient and effective operations.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintenance and Technology Oversight: Lead the maintenance and performance of Slot and Table Games equipment, ensuring all operations meet high standards in a fast-paced environment. Stay current on technological advancements and provide ongoing training to the Slot Technician team to enhance their problem-solving abilities.

  • Slot Machine Management: Oversee machine moves, installations, removals, conversions, and repairs while ensuring compliance with jurisdictional regulations. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all property machines, including par sheets, compliance documents, and updates across teams.

  • Human Resources Leadership: Manage unionized teams by fostering a collaborative environment that values teamwork, communication, and mutual respect. Oversee hiring, training, and succession planning, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements, company policies, and labor laws.

  • Inventory and Budget Management: Effectively manage inventory levels of slot parts in collaboration with Corporate Slot Strategy, ensuring adequate supply while staying within budget. Assist with invoice processing for leased machines, parts, and other related expenses while addressing challenges in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project Scheduling and Staffing: Plan and execute on-property slot projects in coordination with the Corporate Slot Strategy team, ensuring clear communication across departments. Continuously evaluate staffing levels to meet business demands, adjusting as needed to address operational challenges swiftly.

  • Vendor and Interdepartmental Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and property teams, promoting effective communication to support slot and casino projects. Work across multiple departments to resolve issues and achieve project goals efficiently.

  • Executive and Leadership Support: Respond promptly to requests from Slot, Table Games, and Casino Operations leadership, as well as the Corporate Slot Strategy team, demonstrating problem-solving skills and adaptability under tight deadlines.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as requested, leveraging effective communication and decision-making skills to address challenges proactively.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the gaming industry, with a focus on slot operations or technical management.

  • Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing teams, including leading, training, and fostering a collaborative work environment in a gaming or casino setting.

  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Casino Industry Knowledge: Strong background in casino operations, with direct experience in slot or table games equipment and processes.

  • Bilingual Communication: Proficiency in English and another language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse teams and guests.

  • Union Environment Experience: Familiarity with managing in a unionized environment, including understanding collective bargaining agreements and maintaining compliance with labor regulations.
