Warehouse Managing Coordinator

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the company at the Houston Warehouse facility, with a particular focus on all aspects of inventory management, shipping and receiving for equipment and supply orders. Additional responsibilities include overseeing warehouse layout, quality control and creation / adherence to policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Accurately receives, processes and stocks inbound shipments.
  • Prioritizes shipments in order to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations in line with program, operations, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Accurately picks, packs, and fulfills outbound shipments.
  • Uses ScanForce system for picking and receiving deliveries.
  • Ensures timely and accurate deliveries to the customer by adhering to and suggesting improvements on company procedures.
  • Creates and implements internal policies and guidelines for packaging strategies and advises team on best practices for shipping.
  • Works with Sales and Operations team to understand requirements and effectively communicates any issues with orders.
  • Assist with international transportation document preparation for shipments with freight forwarders
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding existing and new legislation, adhering to requirements, and advising supervisors on necessary actions.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by closely monitoring security procedures and protocols in line with industry standard and client requirements.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage systems.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.


  • Assist in the procurement of warehouse supplies.
  • Able to be physically present at the warehouse to perform work duties, except when on leave.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:



  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
  • Must have been employed full-time for at least three years by a pharmacy or a wholesale distributor in a capacity related to the dispensing or distributing of prescription drugs, including recordkeeping for the dispensing or distributing of prescription drugs.
  • Experience with preparing cold-chain, hazmat, and palletized shipments preferred.
  • Experience with medical supplies preferred.


COMPUTER SKILLS:



  • Competency with an inventory management CRM system
  • Familiarity with FedEx, UPS and/or DHL software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and general computer & technology literacy.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:



  • Ability to balance results with other business considerations
  • Proven problem-solving skills in a dynamic workplace
  • Not have been convicted of any felony and any federal, state, or local laws relating to wholesale or retail prescription drug distribution of controlled substances
  • Must be at least 21 years of age


CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:



  • Desired Hazardous Materials Shipping certification preferred


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position is in a standard warehouse environment with desktop business equipment and frequent telephone calls. Noise level is moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee must constantly reach with hands and fingers. Employee must be able to work in close contact with small and large groups. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, unassisted. Frequent hearing and talking is required. Extensive keyboard typing is required.
