IT Healthcare and Epic/EHR experience highly desired. Works independently to manage and coordinate multiple, complex project plans, including implementation schedules and resource estimates. Provide project leadership and direction for entity-based teams. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating technology and implementation activities on an enterprise-wide level in applications development and for application system installations. Responsible for coordinating activities of entity-based project teams, identifying appropriate corporate and entity resources needed to staff the team, and developing schedules and project plans as well as risk identification, change management, communication planning and integration planning. Leads projects of varying degrees of complexity overseeing the activities of other resources. Maintains close working relationships with leadership, customers, and facilitates business relationships with vendor representatives and consulting engagements.
Performs specific job responsibilities:
- Manage, design and implement installation or technology system expansions ensuring proper resources are in place to provide effective and quality installation and support at the highest level of complexity required by the organization.
- Conduct pre and post-sale scope call to initiate or confirm resource planning needs.
- Identify, evaluate and facilitate cost-benefit analysis for clients, assemble Request for Proposals, and assist with the completion and collection of business case documentation/justification.
- Work with customers and technology leaders regarding changes to the project scope, assessment of possible constraints and identification of new service opportunities.
- Coordinate interactions with internal departments in the areas of procurement (production), kick-off conference calls (sales), resource assignment (services) and hand-off calls (support).
- Provide direction for clients, staff and vendors to resolve problems within project, program, or portfolio level activities using well developed negotiation and professional skills.
- Facilitate necessary internal and external meetings and prepares necessary status reports to ensure project tasks are being completed in a timely fashion.
- Develop, follow, share, and teach standards and project methodologies to maximize results.
- Provide leadership and mentorship for other levels of project resources and assist in their educational development. Oversee Programs that are being executed by other project resources.
- Work closely with leaders to ensure proper project execution aligned with expected objectives. Escalate obstacles, concerns, or risks in a timely manner. Tracks all project decisions.
- Prepare, maintain and submit management reports (progress/status reports, time recording, and escalations). This includes the timely escalation of risks and required decisions.
- Execute projects and programs properly leveraging project planning resources and tools to meet expectations. Owns the timely resolution of project impediments.
- May oversee work performed by certified project managers, project consultants, and other project management resources/team members as requested or identified by leadership.
What We Require:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Project Management or Business Management, or 6+ years related experience required.
Experience: 6+ years of escalating project management experience in healthcare or business setting optimally using information systems. Ability to demonstrate advanced Project and Program management skills.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: PMP certification is required. ScrumMaster certification is required. ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred. Must be licensed to legally operate a motor vehicle in Virginia.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and best practices. Goal orientation and action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined, good at project planning, organizing, communication, team motivation and delegation. Process orientation with strong strategic planning skills and creativity. Strong problem solving skills and inherent decision making ability. Strong dedication to deliver quality customer service in a timely manner. Good human relations, diplomacy, and oral/written communications skills in technical and non-technical areas. Strong leader of others.
