Full-time Description
For patients with Telehealth appointments, Telehealth Specialists will be required to assist patients through the check in the remote eye exam process. Essential Functions Conduct pre-testing and specialized testing for tele-optometric exams utilizing the following equipment:
Complete patient registration, gathering and submitting pertinent patient information, including Medical History and Ocular Health data Maintain Patient Readiness through Appt. Confirmation, intake, and MVC tool Ensure OD lens recommendation happens at all exams; Transfer patient and Lens Recommendation to a retail associate Transmit results from all pre-test instruments to secure the server Initiate Remote Optical Assistant and Remote Doctor video conferencing Assist Remote Doctor and Remote Optical Assistant with refraction equipment placement and interacting with patients during Refraction Print prescriptions, escort patients to the sales floor, and Transition patients for eyewear and contact lens purchase Retrieve patient records to ensure complete information is on file before the appointment date Ensure efficient patient flow by effectively communicating with team members and providers Computer System & Equipment Operation - accurate data entry, accurate Pre-testing operation, and maintenance of devices Perform opening and close-out procedures according to the Telemedicine equipment operational standards Participate in Telemedicine Specialized training of all responsibilities as assigned Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e., HIPAA) Diligently maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations, and the overall facility on a daily base When not functioning as the Telehealth Specialist, the associate will assume the Retail roles and responsibilities Requirements
Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: 1 year of work experience in Retail, Sales, or Customer/Patient Service Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization Ability to apply concepts of basic math Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Preferred Skills Medical Pre-testing Equipment experience #LI-ONSITE The compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
