THE JOB:
As the Relief Executive Chef, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience. Using your culinary and management skills, you will support the management of the culinary teams in our restaurants while providing high-quality food to our guests. In your role, you will partner with front-of-house staff to createWOWmemories the guests will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Work with a diverse team of enthusiastic people in a FUN and fast-paced environment to achieve company goals
  • Provide direction and leadership forthe restaurant kitchen's sous chefs and cooks consistent with the MGM brand.
  • Support training initiatives and implement training and learning opportunities within the designated kitchen outlets.
  • Assist the properties culinary team in leading an outlet's kitchen staff in achieving operational and financial goals of the venue; while maintaining recipes, inventory and supplies.
  • Show your culinary passion by crafting various menu items while following set recipes and standards
  • Engage with guests and employees by smiling and hearing their story
  • Ensure guest safety by supervising proper food handling procedures

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has high energy and positive attitude
  • Culinary management experience in a high-volume restaurant establishment.
  • Previous culinary management experience in a banquet and catering establishment preferred
  • Has strong communication skills
  • Has strong knowledge of standard kitchen equipment
  • Has strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
  • Has strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Can handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Can maintain knowledge of menu items
  • Has high attention to detail
