DESCRIPTION
The Director of Student Governments, Auxiliaries, and Services is responsible for providing strategic direction in developing goals, setting priorities, coordinating efforts, supervising, development, training, funding of the unit, and providing a broad range of high quality, dynamic experiential learning opportunities that align with the University's strategic plan and Student Affairs goals. The Director of Student Governments, Auxiliaries, and Services provides campus leadership in facilitating and promoting involvement in student governments (undergraduate and graduate), the Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Service , the student-initiated Sustainability Resource Center, Triton Food Pantry and student-initiated services and commissions; as well as participation in other campus events, and campus life. The Director is also responsible for UC San Diego's civic engagement initiatives related to voter registration and education and serves as the civic and voter empowerment coordinator for local, state, and national elections. The Director provides strategic direction for the development, implementation, and assessment of the AS and GPSA websites. The Director initiates collaboration with other Student Life, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs units, community agencies, and donors to provide engagement opportunities that promote community-building, inclusion, wellness, and experiential learning for all students. Responsible for administering a nearly 10 million dollar operating budget across 5 subunits; oversees a staff of 13; supervises3 full-time employees, 2-5 part-time/casual employees (graduate assistants), and 200+ student employees. Additional sources of funding include: UCOP allocations for collaborations, SAPEP Funding, and Vice-Chancellor Student Affairs allocations for collaborations Reports directly to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Life and serves as a member of the Student Life Leadership Team, which sets the strategic direction for the cluster. The Director exercises leadership on campus-wide initiatives and may act on behalf of the AVC as requested. Manages a discrete Student Affairs or Student Life & Development function and/or program. Formulates policies and procedures for the function. Develops the long and short-term organizational goals of the unit. Represents the program internally and externally. Manages the operating budget and human resources of the program. QUALIFICATIONS

Click here for Details Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $85,400 - $156,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $40.90 - $75.10 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
