PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $25.67-$31.30 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.11-$37.07 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. BENEFITS

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Home Equity Loan Processor at BECU, you play a crucial role in helping members achieve their financial goals. Your expertise ensures a seamless loan processing experience, where accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service come together to support our members' needs. You will be an integral part of BECU's mission to provide competitive and member-focused lending solutions, making a lasting impact on the financial well-being of our community.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Loan Documentation Review: Analyze and review documentation such as title searches, appraisals, income verification documents, and insurance binders to assess credit and collateral acceptability.
  • Underwriting Condition Management: Work collaboratively with members, branch staff, and underwriters to satisfy all underwriting conditions and obtain final loan approval.
  • Loan Application Processing: Ensure applications are complete, properly scored in the Loan Origination System, and meet all accuracy standards prior to closing.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with external vendors to clear any outstanding collateral conditions and facilitate timely loan closures.
  • Multi-Tasking & Communication: Manage multiple loans at various stages while handling inquiries from members and staff.
  • Member Engagement: Contact members and escrow companies to negotiate final terms and coordinate signing appointments.
  • Loan Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of BECU's Home Equity Loan pricing structure to offer optimal solutions.
  • Service Excellence: Deliver prompt, professional, and courteous service, ensuring that member inquiries and concerns are resolved effectively.
  • Product Awareness: Educate members on BECU's financial products and services to enhance their financial well-being.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to team success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Business or equivalent work and/or educational experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in Home Equity or Mortgage Lending.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of real estate lending practices, including federal and state regulations.
  • Industry Compliance: Knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, ECOA, and HUD regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in verbal and written communication to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Safe Act Compliance: Must comply with Safe Act legislation, requiring annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
  • Work Commitment: Full-time hours with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
