PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $125,700.00-$153,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $97,400.00 - $181,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you're located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

As a Product Owner at BECU, you will take the lead in managing critical business applications supporting our Corporate Functions including Finance, HR, Compliance, Legal, and Risk. You'll set the strategic vision and roadmap, crafting user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing enhancements, and driving product delivery from inception to execution. Your collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders will shape how BECU leverages technology to achieve its strategic goals. Your work will directly impact our employees' experiences, ensuring our systems are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with organizational priorities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Shape Product Vision: Clearly define, communicate, and champion the product vision, strategy, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) across all organizational levels through customized dashboards and roadmaps.

  • Develop User Stories: Facilitate the creation and management of user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with strategic and business requirements.

  • Prioritize Effectively: Analyze market trends and insights to inform product design and continually prioritize the product backlog, ensuring high-value delivery.

  • Drive Delivery: Actively oversee product progress, inspect outcomes, manage scope, address design concerns, and respond effectively to stakeholder and member feedback.

  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Partner closely with stakeholders throughout the organization to maintain a unified product roadmap, adjusting priorities to align with evolving business needs.

  • Advocate for Users: Act as the primary advocate and expert for internal design partners, external vendors, and users, ensuring the product consistently meets customer needs and expectations.

  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Cultivate strong, productive relationships with external vendors to optimize service delivery and enhance product capabilities.

  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to BECU competencies, regulatory requirements, and Information Protection standards to maintain product integrity and security.

  • Additional Contributions: Engage in additional duties as assigned to support the broader organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline required, or equivalent work or educational experience.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in product management or development, with demonstrated expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Strong research, prioritization, leadership, and negotiation skills required.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Product Owner or Project Management (PMP) certifications preferred.

  • Familiarity with Finance, HR, Risk, or Compliance systems and processes desired.
