THE POSITION
Below is a brief overview of the role, not a full job description.

• Under general supervision of a Division Manager or designated Supervisor, manages the contracted and/or in-house designs, and performs cost estimates, permitting and preparation of technical specifications, construction and contract administration for a variety of municipal projects, including but not limited to improvements relating to transportation, drainage, water/sewer/irrigation, and City facilities, as assigned.
• Maintains close liaison and interacts daily with design consultants, surveyors, engineers, city administration, contractors and inspectors.
• Prepares time schedules, budget reports, technical specifications and drawings for a variety of City facilities or projects.
• Researches and analyzes issues including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, system operations, property ownership and utility/developer agreements.
• Respond to inquiries from public, resolves problems and represents the City at public meetings as required.
• Supervises and/or provides guidance to staff as assigned within the scope of a specific project.
• Perform other related duties as required.
