POSITION SUMMARY: The Contract Specialist is responsible for the preparation, development, and processing of commercial contracts, amendments, and pricing agreements in support of the MiMedx sales organization Critical activities include managing the administration of Group Purchasing contracts, from roster management to payment of admin fees and rebates and creation/management of customer consignment contracts. The Contract Specialist performs contract analysis to ensure compliance with terms and provides sales and leadership with reports as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, track, and monitor commercial contracts, sales agreements, forms, pricing and consignment agreements to ensure compliance with contract terms; conducts pricing verifications and membership audits
- Manage current group/contract membership lists and take actions on changes as required including updating pricing in systems.
- Calculate commercial administration fees and customer rebates per terms of contracts, analyze trends and obtain necessary approvals to process.
- Prepare reports on administrative fees for Group Purchasing Organizations and Government entities per terms of contracts.
- Provide data for business reviews for National Accounts team for key customers and groups
- Create adhoc reports; extract and analyze raw data to provide information requested by sales team, such as customer verification, product and pricing agreements, sales volumes, etc.
- Provide guidance to sales/management on new customers on pricing, group membership affiliation, class of trade, etc.
- Research customer pricing discrepancies, as needed and manage resolution with customer.
- Tracks contract status and manage electronic signature process.
- Assist in the compilation/collection of sales data for requests for information and proposals
- Notify appropriate individuals within the company of new contracts and/or amendments
- Identify and provide input on process improvements to ensure quality, innovation, and efficiency; suggest needed updates/changes on policy and procedural control documents

- Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols and uses judgement based on experience or seeks out resources to resolve any conflicts
- Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/ anomalies in routine research/data
DECISION MAKING/SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:
- Works independently using standard operating procedures and business judgement.
- Communicates directly with sales team and internal stakeholders (legal, finance, customer service, leadership) on contracting matters
- Responsible for managing large revenue bearing contracts, and processing payments with financial impacts to organization, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
SPAN OF CONTROL/COMPLEXITY:
- Mid level professional contributor on a project or specialty work team
- Manages large revenue bearing contracts and processes payments/rebates to Group Purchasing and Government partners
- Partners with legal team and other internal stakeholders on creation/management of contracts in support of MiMedx commercial sales.
- Fully competent and productive professional contributor, working independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments that have direct impact on department results
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA in related discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in related field, or verifiable ability,
OR
- MS/MA/MBA and 1-2 years of experience in related field
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) with intermediate level Excel skills (pivot tables, V-Lookup)
- Ability to interact with both internal and external customers, with a focus on customer service
- Ability to prioritize and respond with a sense of urgency to all inquiries and requests
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively; organized, flexible, and able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is remote with in person team meetings in the Marietta, GA office - estimated at 4-6 meetings per year. The work is typically performed in a normal office environment
