ERT is seeking a Marketing/Communications Coordinator to join our growing Corporate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications and marketing, with the ability to write compelling copy and create effective marketing campaigns that highlight ERT's expertise in technology, engineering, and science. Along with strong project coordination skills, excellent proofreading and editing abilities, and impeccable attention to detail, the ideal candidate should be motivated to help develop ERT's overall marketing and communications strategy. Duties include:
- Coordinates and implements marketing and communication projects that support ERT's business goals, including creating marketing copy, newsletters, memos, blog posts, reports and other forms of communication
- Organizes public image campaigns and special events that are engaging and contain interactive social media content strategy that enhances ERT's reputation.
- Works collaboratively with the VP of Marketing to achieve project objectives, milestones and deliverables, and campaign effectiveness reporting.
- Develops and maintains strong partnerships with key internal and external partners, understanding key business strategies, objectives, and project expectations to support marketing efforts and goals
- Oversees the day-to-day activity of ERT's social media channels and utilizes social media to enhance ERT's brand, promote events and programs, recruit talent
- Ensures evaluation and analysis of marketing initiatives to determine the effectiveness of implemented strategies
- Provides insights and recommendations for updates, writes content and partners with assigned webmaster to meet SEO and web goals and objectives
- Utilizes Google Analytics and/or other approved platform(s) to analyze web performance, report KPI's and provide insights and recommendations for performance improvement
- Performs administrative functions to support marketing and communications projects
Requirements
- 1+ years of marketing, communications, or public relations work experience
- Proficient in social media management, including content calendar development, platform specific tactics, and campaign execution
- Ability to write and edit content
- Strong interviewing, writing, ghostwriting, and proofreading skills across multiple formats and platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and deadline driven; Self-starter with strong organizational skills who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Understanding of SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and web performance.
- Ability to interpret data and track performance metrics to inform digital marketing strategies.

- Ability to combines marketing expertise with an understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
- Experience with Google Analytics
- Experience with managing web content with WordPress
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Includes Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and related tools for design and multimedia production.
- Experience in video editing, audio enhancement, and integrating graphics for professional-quality outputs a plus
Education Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field Location Remote with as needed travel to ERT's Tysons Corner office location for in-person meetings. Salary The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000/year. This range is a good faith estimate based on similar roles across the organization.
