SUMMARY

Schneider Downs is seeking motivated students open to learning and expanding their knowledge in the public accounting environment to participate in our 2023 internship program. Learn more about our work and how you could make an impact helping organizations while growing your skills!

As a member of our internship program, you work as a member of the engagement team and are responsible for a variety of assigned projects that assist with the completion of the engagement - primarily the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns. You will be part of a learning culture that values quality and integrity, where you'll be supported by Schneider Downs professionals.

The winter session typically runs from early January until late April.

We are open to individuals who would like to work full-time or part-time in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support various assigned projects that assist with the completion of the engagement, including both tax compliance and tax consulting matters
• Research and analyze accounting and tax-related issues
• Utilize data extraction, data analytics and data visualization tools to bring insight to clients
• Proactively interact with engagement team to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting
• Graduation date in 2024 academic year
• A preferred overall GPA of 3.3 (3.0 minimum)
• Must meet minimum requirements for CPA eligibility (i.e., 150 credit hours) upon graduation
