Job Summary

Our 3rd year Service Electrician Apprentice, assists services technicians in the maintenance and repair of electronic components and equipment and ensure equipment is running correctly. Refers to schematics and performs visual inspections for basic problems. Uses diagnostic equipment to pinpoint malfunctions. Once identified, defective components are repaired or replaced.


Essential Duties

  • Assists service technician in electrical installations, troubleshooting and planned maintenance.
  • Assists in diagnosing electrical system performance through observation, testing and setup as required by trade/position. Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
  • Participates in technician on-call/stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
  • Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
  • Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.
  • Maintains equipment, vehicle, and tools.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required: Electrical Apprentice Card
  • Required: general electrical installations and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to use app-based technology.
  • Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.
  • Must be punctual and dependable.
  • Demonstrate strong business ethics at all times.
  • Present professional appearance.
