* Job Opportunity: Lead Low Voltage Technician - TEKsystems* * Location:* Nashville, TN * Experience Level:* Intermediate * Employment Type:* Full-Time * Overview:* TEKsystems is hiring a Lead Low Voltage Technician to support a major rebuild initiative at our Nashville office. This role centers on our voice, data, and fire alarm operations, and offers long-term stability for a skilled technician ready to lead from the front. You'll be responsible for installing, configuring, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing low voltage systems-including Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom Systems. We're looking for someone who can model integrity, drive results, build teamwork, and contribute to our employee-first culture while delivering legendary service to both internal and external customers. * Core Responsibilities:* * Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new installations * Perform point-to-point troubleshooting on all supported systems * Communicate clearly with project leads and clients on status and updates * Assist with installations and report system issues accurately * Review design documents prior to install for accuracy * Inspect alarm installations for code compliance * Complete project reports and respond to service calls * Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills * Deliver timely, cost-effective technical solutions * Work assigned shift schedules; rotating on-call may be required * Must be regularly available on-site during business hours * Other related duties as assigned * Technical Skills Required:* * Cat6 cabling & structured wiring * Low voltage system install & repair * Fire alarm & access control system integration * Troubleshooting CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom systems * Use of hand tools, multi-meters, and lifts * Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals * Top Skills:* Cat6 * Install * Cable * Access Control * Fire Alarm * Troubleshooting * Additional Qualifications:* * Proficiency in low voltage systems across various platforms * Solid tech and computer literacy * Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated environments * Effective communicator with strong documentation skills * Comfortable reporting to PM and adapting to project needs * Certifications in security or fire systems a plus Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
