Job Summary The Bronner Labis developing new projects in cranial and trunk neural crest development that require technical assistance.To that end, we are seeking a full-time Research Technician to aid postdoctoral fellows in their research. Essential Job Duties Conduct scientific analysis of experimental results related to molecular and developmental biology (PCR, plasmid preparation, in situ hybridizations, microscopy, and histological techniques). Help conduct experiments on the role of DNMTs in zebrafish development using CRISPR technology. Assist postdocs in generating mutant lines. Zebrafish husbandry. Interpret experimental findings with PIs. Keep detailed records of experimental research. Contribute to assembling publications. Perform other related duties assigned. Basic Qualifications BS degree in Biological Sciences with 4 years' experience. Experience with molecular biology and embryology of model organisms like zebrafish. Must be able to work well with others and keep accurate records, with precise attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with embryology of model organisms, such as zebrafish, and background in phylogenomic and molecular biology (in situ hybridizations, PCR, cloning). Required Documents Resume Hiring Range $29.75 - $36.75 per hour The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
