Job Summary

The Bronner Labis developing new projects in cranial and trunk neural crest development that require technical assistance.To that end, we are seeking a full-time Research Technician to aid postdoctoral fellows in their research.

Essential Job Duties
  • Conduct scientific analysis of experimental results related to molecular and developmental biology (PCR, plasmid preparation, in situ hybridizations, microscopy, and histological techniques).
  • Help conduct experiments on the role of DNMTs in zebrafish development using CRISPR technology.
  • Assist postdocs in generating mutant lines.
  • Zebrafish husbandry.
  • Interpret experimental findings with PIs.
  • Keep detailed records of experimental research.
  • Contribute to assembling publications.
  • Perform other related duties assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • BS degree in Biological Sciences with 4 years' experience.
  • Experience with molecular biology and embryology of model organisms like zebrafish.
  • Must be able to work well with others and keep accurate records, with precise attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with embryology of model organisms, such as zebrafish, and background in phylogenomic and molecular biology (in situ hybridizations, PCR, cloning).

Hiring Range

$29.75 - $36.75 per hour

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
