The Opportunity: We are seeking a VP, Mortgage Servicing to join the DFCU Financial team.



What You'll Do:


Servicing Tasks



  • Manage loan servicing including payment posting, escrow insurance payments, escrow tax payments, annual escrow analysis, monthly mortgage insurance payments and biannual tax payments to cities and counties.
  • Resolve member inquiries and research problem loans.
  • Make decisions regarding exceptions to loan servicing policy.
  • Coordinate accounting settlement of member payments, general ledger settlement, insurance tracking and monthly regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of discharge of first mortgages.
  • Maintain, update, and test servicing system (DNA, Fiserv) and equipment to support operational efficiencies.


Policy & Implementation



  • Interact with department management in organizing, planning and implementing department goals and strategic direction.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and metrics to ensure efficient, compliant, and member focused loan servicing department.


Operations & Staff Leadership



  • Responsible for servicing operations and staff management, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
  • Train servicing employees in related work area.
  • Work with members, employees, and vendors in person and over the phone.



What You'll Need:



  • Business degree, or related work experience.
  • Five years mortgage or servicing experience.
  • Five years supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to servicing and investor guidelines for FNMA, FHLBI, and government loans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
