Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Administrative Supervisor - Langone Orthopedic Center.
Responsible for the coordination of service operations at The Langone Orthopedic Center. Ensure that high quality service is provided and maintained by professionals within assigned departments. Provides leadership to staff in conjunction with the goals and strategic plan of the Medical Center. Responsible for monitoring performance and addressing issues as needed. The Assistant Director also has primary responsibility for assisting in the management of operations for LOC..
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages overall service goals and objectives for multiple practices and responsible for Press Ganey reports and action plans (weekly and monthly). Handles all complaints and responses from Patient Experience and collects data on trends to be shared regularly to senior leadership. Facilitates strategic planning, policy formation, human resource management and organization, financial performance for practices under their management.
- Oversee and monitor processes for EPIC (work queue standardization, open appointment requests) and Cisco Supervisor Module.
- Provides and maintains effective, collaborative communications with the management team, staff, medical staff, Medical Center and community at large. Collaborates with managers in cross-functional process improvement and problem solving to ensure the effective coordination of services within and between departments.
- Provides assistance to direct reports and colleagues in establishing department philosophy/objectives and policies and procedures. Consults with and advises department staff on a routine basis. Manages staffing, orientation, and allocation of staff (either directly or through managers). Fosters the values and supports the objectives of the Medical Center within the System and acts as a positive role model. Provides Management Support during weekend/evening hours of operation and ensures leadership coverage .
- Supervises the delivery of department services and a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure accurate and valid outcomes and continuous improvement of service quality for all customers. Ensures compliance with federal and State laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards, including safety and licensure requirements within the department and with Medical Center policies, procedures and protocols. Consult and informs Sr. Administrative Director of problems related to the operation of departments; recommend changes in policies to carry out Medical Center objectives.
- Collaborates with RED and F and Building services to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees, including assisting with the development of new emergency action plans. Responsible of oversight of building services requests, assistance with capital projects, and develops project plans for initiatives required for CMC
- In Collaboration with Center Leadership, develops the Centers vision and strategic plans, as well as executing the recommendations and initiatives. Creates, maintains, and develops reporting on comprehensive operational/service metrics for CMC (Key Performance Indicators, In conjunction with leadership, collaboratively responsible for implementing business plan components and monitoring achievement of benchmarks and goals and changing direction as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination or training and relevant work experience. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with hospital leadership , staff, and patients.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
