Unit Description
Join a team that focuses on employees first, offers advancement, and gives back to the community. Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Manager 2 to support multiple hospitals located in Olathe, KS. The Human Resources Manager will provide HR support for Food & Nutrition Services and Environmental Services for 200 employees between five locations.The Human Resources Manager will come with an extensive HR and recruitment background, proven ability to foster culture, retain and engage with employees, and a passion for helping and serving others. The Human Resources Manager will be focused on employee engagement, frontline recruitment and staffing, and be an expert on labor laws. Salary range is $50,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will:
work daily in software systems such as Microsoft Office, ADP, Kronos, and applicant tracking system(s);
- demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization;
- support, engage, and help retain frontline staff;
- recruiting and staffing;
- support GMs and clients with all HR related tasks;
- work as a team player and work independently; and/or
- demonstrate the initiative to seek solutions, resolve issues and have a hunger to grow and develop in this role.
We are looking for candidates who:
- have an extensive background in HR and recruitment;
- are an expert in labor laws;
- any healthcare, food service, and/or environmental services experience is a plus;
- are tech-savvy, ability to pick up software quickly;
- are detailed oriented, flexible, and have ability to manage multiple priorities;
- have excellent organization, communication and project management skills;
- have the ability to travel to locations as needed in: Olathe, Lawrence, Larned, Osawatomie, and Pratt
After February 28, you must be fully vaccinated before you can start work. Fully vaccinated by February 28 means:
- Obtain the first dose of a two-dose vaccine no later than January 27, 2022; and the second dose no later than February 28, 2022; or
- Obtain one dose of a single-dose vaccine no later than January 27, 2022
Position Summary
Handles human resource functions and administration for single unit/account. May include payroll, benefits, training, employee relations, recruiting, safety, etc. Position focuses on hourly workforce. Key Duties - Respond to inquiries regarding HR plans, programs & policies. Education managers and employees on policies and procedures. Assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures. Knowledge of and oversees all Federal, State and Local laws regarding human resources. - Investigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions, based on policy, as appropriate. Involve those necessary based on incidents; HR People Center, legal, etc. If applicable, management of union employees; understanding of all contract rules/policies and management of arbitration. Involvement of contract negotiations. - Provide direction to managers and employees on implementation of HR plans, programs, policies, and training. Act as the primary consultant on various HR initiatives. - Serve as the HR consultant and work with operations to positively impact business. - Perform due diligence for new business initiatives to determine the appropriate HR plans, programs, process, and tools (including compensation, benefits, leadership, staffing, diversity & inclusion) based on financial and legal exposure.
