The US Head of Insights will oversee all consumer and client insights centrally for the US central product marketing team across all segments as well as segment-specific insights for the Campus, Schools, and Government segments. The executive will enable sustainable business growth through building and maintaining an insights driven culture, to be the 'voice of the consumer and client' in the business and ensuring objective measures of performance. Importantly, this executive will lead the transformation of insights utilized at Sodexo. This is a virtual position and the successful candidate may reside anywhere in the US. This position is targeting a base starting salary between $160K - $180K and is also bonus eligible. Learn more about Sodexo's Benefits Position Summary The Head of Marketing Insights NorAm will oversee all consumer and client insights for NorAm. The executive will enable sustainable business growth through building and maintaining insights driven culture, to be 'voice of consumer and client' in the business and objective measure of performance. Insights will cover all segments. Responsibilities include:
o Support NorAm product management team in building product roadmaps by translating Product Management, Segment & Marketing Strategies into an Insights Plan (with min 1 year horizon) o Run insights projects: securing Action Standards focused brief from marketing, choosing of developing methodology, choosing and managing right partners, translating outcome into decisions a. Develop insights plan and budget b. Choose methodology, suppliers, tools/technologies c. Manage insights projects d. Synthesize market, consumer and customer/client insights o Develop Marketing function (and beyond it) in insights awareness and understanding o Establish relationship with best-in-class partners/suppliers, develop their understanding of Sodexo business and organization, run regular performance reviews and action planning o Transform a multiple of trend reports into insights and recommended actions o Facilitate consumer and clients (insights and data) driven decision making in Marketing o Ensure actionable outcomes: develop clear and actionable insights and recommended decisions o Measure key Marketing KPIs (e.g. Consumer and Client Experience) and provide recommendations for improvement o Contribute to the development and validation of business cases and product/service briefs.
o All Insights work will need to be done in alignment with our 8 North American business segment strategies. Segments include Healthcare, Universities, Corporate Services, Seniors, Schools, Sports & Leisure, Government & Agencies & Energy and Resources. o Develop an ongoing connecting with existing Segment Insights managers to ensure knowledge sharing o The executive works collaboratively with the NorAm Product Management team, Segment Marketing and Sales leaders and Service Operations (SO) and will leverage our Global Key Processes (Product-based solutions design & mobilization). Partner with these teams to ensure all roadmaps are rooted in client and consumer insights. o Partner with Sales teams to ensure a proactive approach to selling based on strong client insights with consumers insights woven throughout all sales materials.
o Act as the voice of the consumer and the customer in all meetings o Partner with Global Insights to create an Insights Community at Sodexo that facilitates knowledge sharing and capabilities development o Bring understanding of market trends, both short and long-term ones, to the organization o Influence across teams, functions (beyond marketing) and seniority levels o Constant innovation, challenging status quo, pushing the boundaries o Embed discipline in best practices implementation Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience |
