Job Description: Assistant Director of Intake/Admissions

Under the direction of the Assistant Administrator the Assistant Director provides direction for the Intake Admissions Department in the assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Intake and Admissions. The Assistant Director is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of patient flow and staff productivity in the Intake and Admissions department. As a key team member in the Intake and admissions area, the Assistant Director promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff. Organizes, manages and coordinates nursing services and will assure quality.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree in a human relations field or Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing.

Experience: Two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting with supervisory experience. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.

Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as an LMSW, LCSW, LPC or RN.

Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-V and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
