We currently have an opening for two Research Technicians to support the lab of Dr. David Reich at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Reich's lab is a cutting edge ancient DNA laboratory that is studying the impact of human history on biology and disease. This role will be an important part of supporting the science in the lab and will have the opportunity to work closely with scientists studying DNA from human remains dating back over the last 20,000 years. This is an ideal opportunity for several types of candidates - experienced research technicians with a background in sterile techniques and/or genomics and undergraduates interested in a career in the field of Ancient Biomolecules would be excellent fits. Physical Requirements Remaining in a normal seated or standing position for extended periods of time; reaching and grasping by extending hand(s) or arm(s); dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers, for example using a keyboard; communication skills using the spoken word; ability to see and hear within normal parameters; ability to move about workspace.
