Cybersecurity Engineer - 25-031 - remote

AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting, NEW, remote opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members.

Seeking an experienced and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer with recent Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience to support a US Coast Guard (USCG) wireless program. This role would assist and provide RMF and Cybersecurity guidance to the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an RMF Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) and Authorization to Operate (ATO) package to support a USCG program.
  • Develop RMF System Security Plans (SSPs), updating and developing architecture diagrams in Visio, providing cybersecurity architecture guidance based on Department of War (DoW) and USCG Cybersecurity policies.
  • Develop RMF Policy documentation.
  • Develop Security Assessment Plans (SAPs) and reports.
  • Conduct regular security assessments in accordance with DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides/SRGs (Security Requirements Guides), vendor security practices and conducting ACAS scans.
Requirements

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must have a DoD 8140 IAM/IAT Level II cert upon hire.
  • Bachelor of Science degree with focus in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university preferred or nine years of equivalent experience.
  • Must have DoD RMF experience in the Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) role to include developing/updating RMF SSPs, documenting NIST 800-53 Security Control Implementations, development of SAPs, development of Security (Plan of Action and Milestones) POAMs and development of Risk Assessment Reports (RARs).
  • Must have experience using eMass.
  • Must have experience conducting security assessments in accordance with DISA STIGs and SRGs.
  • Must have experience with vulnerability testing/scanning tools (ACAS/Nessus) and identifying vulnerabilities in security systems.
  • Good knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Experience with wireless networks and networking skills preferred.
  • Experience with USCG RMF and cybersecurity policies preferred.
  • Employ strong written and verbal communication skills to advise various levels of technology stakeholders, program initiatives and accrediting authorities on security requirements and cybersecurity trends and solutions, to include risk assessments and mitigations
  • Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Travel is approximately 5%, but will be required to travel to Connecticut about twice a year.
