As a Security Guard - Retail Mall Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the location. Your visible presence and strong customer service approach will support a positive experience for visitors and staff alike. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior.
• Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Document and report security-related incidents and/or suspicious activities according to established procedures.
• Assist in guiding and directing visitors or staff within the location as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
