Moog's Military Aircraft Group has an immediate opening for a Government Property / Asset Administrator to maintain an approved Government Property Management System for the applicable Moog facilities. Reporting to the Government-Customer Property Manager, you will have a 9/80 schedule with a hybrid work option (3 days/week in the office) at our aerospace plant in Torrance, California.

As a Property Administrator, you will:

  • Maintain an approved Government Property Management System for the applicable Moog facilities.

  • Actively lead Government and Customer Audits including pulling supporting documentation together, locating and verifying sample items are correctly identified and used only for the program they are accountable to, and responding to auditors' inquiries.

  • Track and completion of all aspects of government owned repair/refurb units from acquisition to disposition and property clearance requirements within all FAR and internally documented timeframes and maintain all documentation for audit traceability and reporting directly to the DCMA Government Property Administrator.

  • Using multiple Microsoft, Moog and Government software applications to extract data for government property monitoring and tracking responsibilities, including the preparation monthly, quarterly and annual reports for submittal to the Government/Customers to meet contractual requirements.

  • Support the planning, organizing, and performing of the annual physical inventory of Government-owned Property, and reconciling the inventory results prior to submitting to the Government and Customers.

  • Daily receipt of Navy repair units within CAV-RP system in accordance with CAV SOW requirements.

  • Ensure all misdirected property, including repairs and other types of government property are tracked and reported in compliance with documented processes and procedures.

  • Coordinate all disposals of property and ensure compliance to all federal and state regulations.

  • Maintain accurate official property records for all Government property which are audited by Government and Customer personnel and meet the requirements defined in the FAR, DFARS, and NASA FAR Supplements and customer contracts.

  • Work closely with team members and cross-functionally for support including with Contracts, Program Management, Material Handling, Operations, etc.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree; Business Administration or technical discipline

  • 3+ years' experience in Government/Customer Property and/or Compliance

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as this position requires a great deal of tact and experience in dealing with personnel at all levels including Government/Customer auditors

  • High degree of organization and administrative ability is essential; incumbent must be meticulous in detail and accuracy and have an analytic approach to problem solving

  • This position requires a self-starter with good communication skills who is able to work on their own initiative in an independent environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $80,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
