Position Overview


Primary Purpose of the Position
The Department of Business Administration in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship is currently seeking qualified candidates for temporary adjunct faculty positions. Successful applicants must hold a doctorate in a quantitative business discipline such as Data Sciences, Decision Sciences, Operations Management, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields; a master's degree will be considered with relevant professional experience. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to successfully teach one or more courses in Quantitative Business Analysis, including Business Statistics, Business Analytics, and Operations Management, and also possess the ability to teach Business Communication courses.

  • Master's Degree or higher (preferably a doctorate) in a quantitative discipline of business such as Data Sciences; Decision Sciences; Operations Management; Operations Research; Statistics; or related fields
  • The ability to successfully teach one or more Quantitative Business Analysis (Business Statistics, Business Analytics, Operations Management) courses
  • Must be able to use and work from a course syllabus
  • Grades and record-keeping using the Canvas system is required
  • Candidates should be proficient with current technologies and teaching with various tools such as projectors and presentation software


Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • At least one year of teaching experience at college level
  • Practical experience in human resources management in a corporate setting
  • Candidates should also be able to demonstrate skills in classroom management and successful correspondence with students, faculty, staff, and administration
  • In addition, it is essential that candidates have a dedication to providing a positive and high-quality learning environment
  • A Doctorate Degree is preferred

  • Adjunct faculty will instruct students successfully in an online lecture
  • Adjunct faculty must be knowledgeable of the course topics, possess good communication skills, excellent record-keeping skills, and a sincere interest in promoting a positive learning environment
  • Faculty are expected to hold office hours, which can be conducted virtually via Zoom, to support student success
