SUMMARY:

Plans and coordinates the process controls activities of the Olefins Department to optimize production, minimize equipment downtime and assure quality performance.

Fully support Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates operation and maintenance personnel and activities to meet production schedules to produce a quality product.
  • Coordinates production and maintenance activities to accomplish adequate upkeep of operating facilities, including the preparation of operating equipment for maintenance and procurement of maintenance materials.
  • Maintains records, logs and forms that pertain to unit equipment.
  • Maintains a current unit shutdown activity list.
  • Monitors equipment preventative maintenance schedules and ensures compliance. Coordinates Plant maintenance activities to comply with local, State and Federal environmental regulations.
  • Recognizes safety problems and implements methods to achieve safe operations.
  • Investigates mechanical and process failures to determine cause and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

College degree or additional educational/training preferred. Five years of production experience to include knowledge and skills of maintenance related activities in a petrochemical manufacturing environmental.
