Virtual Design Specialist - Shape the Future of Construction with 3D &
BIM

Are you ready to bring next-gen design and modeling skills to a dynamic, growing mechanical contracting firm? We are seeking a Virtual Design Specialist to be the creative engine behind construction drawings, 3D models, and immersive virtual design solutions for high-impact contracting projects. If you're experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated to elevate your career in CAD, BIM, and construction design, this is your opportunity.

Hours & Pay:

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Salary range: $40,000 - $55,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Employment type: Direct-hire

Daily Tasks:



  • Create detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings using CAD and design software.
  • Develop virtual walkthroughs and models for client presentations and project planning.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering plans to build accurate draft models aligned with project specs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and project alignment.
  • Revise drawings and designs based on feedback, regulatory requirements, or client requests.
  • Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and documentation for accessibility and version control.
  • Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and company quality protocols.
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide visualizations to assist decision-making.



Requirements:



  • Proven experience as a drafter or virtual design specialist in construction, architecture, or engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble, SketchUp, or similar) and 3D modeling tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Clear communication skills, both technical and client-facing.
  • Preferred: Experience with virtual reality or BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of project management software.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
