AES Clean Energy is seeking an Associate Performance Engineer to support engineering, construction and operations teams by analyzing the performance characteristics of photovoltaic and battery storage projects in construction, commissioning and operation. The Associate Performance Engineer will have knowledge of data analysis, especially in "beyond Excel" systems like EtaPRO, Python or R. In addition, they will be interested in learning technical platforms like Domino Datalab, Google Cloud Storage, and Google BigQuery or Power BI. The Associate Performance Engineer will be an enthusiastic learner who is willing to dive into solving open-ended analysis problems by creating new approaches. The Associate Performance Engineer will support bridging the gap between projects in construction, and projects in long-term operation by analyzing production data, identifying commissioning problems such as failed sensors or incorrect SCADA calculations, Dashboard and KPI implementation and running standard performance tests such as ASTM E2848, battery capacity testing and assisting the operations team in troubleshooting.
