Your role
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical content of all assigned projects to ensure that customer contractual requirements and applicable Atlas Copco or international standards are adhered to. You will also specify compressor and auxiliary system components, create customer required documentation, and review manufacturing drawings and bills of materials. As part of the Systems Engineering team, you will report to the Engineering Team Leader and work alongside your project team. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY .
You will
- Provide support to project team on assigned projects. This includes drawing and bill of material review, physical layout of compressor package unit, new component research, design calculations and verification.
- Issue the project specific orderbook and continue updating throughout the execution of the project.
- Review and interpret customer specifications and coordinate with Marketing/Contracts to define detailed scope of supply. Incorporate requirements into orderbook and design while following internal standards and industry best practices.
- Provide and review documents and drawings to/from vendors.
- Provide detailed purchase specifications for major components such as drivers, heat exchangers, pumps, couplings, valves, silencers, filters, flow meters, expansion joints, process isolation valves, separators, acoustical enclosures, noise insulation jackets.
- Monitor the engineering schedule, job cost and component cost and advise Engineering Team Leader any areas of concern.
- Coordinate with project team, vendors, and other departments to create and provide customer required drawings and documentation within the agreed contractual schedule.
- Provide technical support within the engineering team and to manufacturing, application engineering, and field service as projects required.
- Propose/contribute design concepts.
- Attend project kick-off meeting, design reviews, and regular team meetings.
- Assure that the project has been reviewed, checked and all procedures are followed before the release of projects to manufacturing.

- You have hold a B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
- You can travel occasionally, including international travel.
- You can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including communication and teamwork.
- You can handle multiple tasks at one time.

- Competitive Pay: Base salary ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, based on your experience and qualifications.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our manufacturing facility in Voorheesville NY, United States (US).
