Security Officer - Tech/Media Dispatch Operations

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Dispatch Operations in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will play a vital role in monitoring and coordinating security-related communications and activities. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and operate dispatch systems to coordinate security-related activities within the location, maintaining clear communication between field personnel and management.
• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, addressing inquiries and assisting with requests.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
• Document and report incidents, activities, and any irregularities observed during shifts.
• Support field teams by relaying information, dispatching assistance, and coordinating emergency response activities as needed.
• Maintain logs and records of calls, incidents, and security-related operations for review by management.
• Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure work environment within the tech and media location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
