Salary: $70-80 Hourly Flexible DOE
This is a US based remote position that will start at 7 months and could extend up to 18 months. Join a dynamic team focused on analytics for a widely recognized casual entertainment platform. This team manages data for a massive global user base, supporting internal analytics, product development through data modeling, telemetry, and visualization, and contributing to a profitable business model. As a partner with Aquent, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of entertainment experiences, directly impacting product decisions and user engagement through your expertise in data engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical, internal projects within the entertainment sector. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and sophisticated data models. Your work will directly support client telemetry and gameplay features, enabling data-driven product decisions. You'll collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders, from producers to engineers, translating business needs into actionable data artifacts and providing crucial ad-hoc analysis and visualization. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analytics leadership and studio stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into robust data pipelines, models, and visualizations for core product insights.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain logical and physical data pipelines, storage solutions, and semantic artifacts.
- Enhance and expand existing data processes to meet evolving business needs and extend capabilities.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through thorough testing, error correction, and necessary modifications to programs and databases.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and provide basic data visualization to support informed decision-making.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5-7 years of applicable experience in data engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Storage, Fabric, and Power BI.
- Experience with data lake processes and patterns, including medallion architecture.
- Proven ability to transform raw telemetry data into conformed data models.
- Strong ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable analytics artifacts and data models to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements can be effectively built out.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
