Position Overview
The Engineering Coordinator IV plays a key role in supporting the Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) Engineering organization. This position provides both administrative and technical support to ensure efficient operations across process, controls, and facilities engineering teams. The Engineering Coordinator manages documentation, assists with project coordination, and facilitates communication across cross-functional groups throughout the Exact Sciences enterprise. By maintaining accurate records, tracking project milestones, and supporting technical initiatives, this role helps enable the engineering team's success in maintaining and improving company facilities and systems.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Administrative Support: Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and handle correspondence for the engineering team.
- Documentation: Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation, design reviews, and technical reports.
- Technical Assistance: Support the engineering team in developing reports, data analysis, and troubleshooting anomalies.
- Workflow Management: Design and support automated workflows to streamline engineering efforts.
- Training: Work with training teams and the development team to align system documents.
- Communication: Facilitate communication across functional areas, ensuring issues and solutions are effectively conveyed.
- Project Coordination: Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective dissemination of project communications.
- Compliance: Ensure all documentation and processes meet regulatory requirements such as FDA, CLIA, and CAP.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement changes to enhance the performance of laboratory equipment and workflows.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain detailed records and follow procedures to support regulatory compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Encourage team participation and contribute to achieving pre-defined goals.
- Knowledge Development: Continuously develop personal knowledge related to laboratory equipment and automation systems.
- Problem Solving: Assist in defining problems, collecting data, and drawing data-driven conclusions.
- Adaptability: Work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and ambiguous situations.

- Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
- Ability to work seated for approximately 80 of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
- May be exposed to hazardous materials, tissue specimens, and instruments with moving parts, lasers, heating and freezing elements, and high-speed centrifugation.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of working time for training and site visits.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 4 years of relevant job-related experience in a professional setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated environment (FDA/CAP/CLIA).
- Working knowledge of managing workflows and collaborating across digital platforms such as Smartsheet.
- High level of familiarity and comfort working with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.

Salary Range: $62,000.00 - $102,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
