The Pharmacy Manager for Pharmacy Technician Training and Education oversees the development and management of comprehensive training programs for pharmacy technicians across MGB. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and supports technician career advancement through education and competency assessments.
Training program development: Designs and maintains system-wide pharmacy technician training and onboarding programs and coordinates competency assessments. Leadership and collaboration: Supervises technician educators and partners with pharmacy leadership, HR, and academic institutions to support recruitment, retention, and career development initiatives. Regulatory compliance and quality: Ensures training programs meet ASHP, PTCB, and state board standards, monitors training outcomes, and supports quality improvement related to technician performance and safety. Qualifications Bachelor's degree Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent Current Pharmacy Technician State Licensure Requirements Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from thePharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Minimum5 years of experienceas a certified pharmacy technician in a hospital or health system setting At least2 years of experiencein leadership, training, or educational role Education Physical Requirements
