The Division of Academic & Student Affairs ( DASA) is where students discover connections and community. University Theatre is a producing theatre and operates multiple facilities: Stewart Theatre, in the Talley Student Center, and the Titmus Theatre and Kennedy McIlwee Studio Theatre in Thompson Hall, along with the associated shops and classroom spaces for producing theatre.

Our mission is to present a wide variety of theatre experiences and provide spaces for campus organizations to present events. The theatre spaces are used for on and off campus organizations that present a wide variety of programs to students, staff and the general public.

Primary Purpose of Position:
This position is responsible for business operations for University Theatre.

  • Serves as the unit liaison with the DASA business office
  • Oversees departmental budgeting, accounting, bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Processes and routes artist and vendor contracts
  • Manages and executes special projects
  • Research, co-write, manage, and track grants
  • Serve as the department liaison with Contracts & Grants.
  • Prepares external and interdepartmental invoices.
  • Assist with unit's annual assessment reporting
  • Manage and route accommodation requests from patrons to staff
  • Receive, route, and or respond to public emails and phone calls

  • Ability to plan, evaluate, recommend action.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with multiple levels of internal staff, external customers, and students.
