CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer - Buildings to join our Architectural & Structures Team in Albany, NY or Syracuse, NY. In this key role, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams, partner with project managers, and steer the design and execution of transformative architectural projects.



What You'll Do:

    Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications across various public and private projects
  • Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of architecture and structure design
  • Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions
  • Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support
  • Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven ability to lead a team with strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$115,000 - $125,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
