Job Summary

The Strategic Programs and Engagement Manager for the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom plays a vital role in advancing the Center's mission to promote economic liberty, individual empowerment, and global prosperity. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, The Strategic Programs and Engagement Manager supports the coordination, logistics, and execution of the Center's key programs, partnerships, and community engagement efforts. This position ensures the smooth operation of Center
activities and helps identify strategic opportunities for growth.

  • Supports the Director of Strategic Initiatives in planning and executing the Center's major programs and initiatives, including the annual Champions of Freedom Gala, American Tourism Project, and other signature events.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations and logistics of assigned Center activities to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with the Center's goals.
  • Coordinates with vendors, donors, speakers, and university departments to ensure seamless execution of events and special projects.
  • Tracks and evaluates program outcomes and provides regular reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the Director to identify strategic partnerships and community engagement opportunities that enhance the Center's visibility and impact across academic, civic, and business communities.
  • Assists in developing outreach strategies to strengthen the Center's relationships with donors, alumni, students, and community leaders.
  • Supports media, communications, and promotional efforts that highlight the Center's mission and achievements.
  • Identify, recruit, and coordinate high-profile speakers and panelists for Center events, summits, and conferences, ensuring alignment with the Center's mission and event objectives.
  • Research and engage potential sponsors and partners whose values align with the Center's initiatives, developing tailored sponsorship proposals that support event success and visibility.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, academic institutions, industry associations, and media representatives, to expand the Center's influence and reach.
  • Foster and maintain ongoing engagement with stakeholders before, during, and after major events to strengthen collaboration, ensure effective communication, and promote sustained partnerships.
  • Assists in developing procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Maintains accurate records of events, partnerships, and deliverables.
  • Contributes to strategic planning discussions, offering insight and innovative ideas for new initiatives.
  • Supports the Director of Strategic Initiatives in preparing presentations, reports, and proposals for internal and external audiences.
  • Ensures compliance with University policies, regulations, and operational standards.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Event Planning, Communications or related field and five (5) years of experience in a related field.
