As a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. In this role, you will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while armed and in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for security-related risks and report any incidents or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly for all security-related activities and incidents.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
