As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols in assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential threats.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and the public, providing assistance and information as requested.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during incidents requiring additional support.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report any hazards, maintenance needs, or unusual circumstances.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
