HSSE Manager - JLL

What this job involves: The HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) Manager within JLL's Facilities Management team is responsible for managing HSSE risks and ensuring compliance across the organization [Source: JLL Job Description Template.docx]. This role is critical in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSSE Management System (HSSEMS) and driving a culture of safety, security, and environmental stewardship. You will work closely with senior management, site teams, and contractors to ensure that all operations meet or exceed JLL and client HSSE standards. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and technical expertise to facilitate safe and compliant operations in a dynamic, client-focused environment where your expertise directly contributes to protecting our people and assets.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Oversee the management and support of the HSSE strategy and policy for the Facilities Management business line
  • Design, maintain, and deliver HSSE training programs, including tracking completion and maintaining training matrices
  • Lead or participate in investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions for incidents including relevant metrics and data
  • Coordinate with client HSSE leads and liaise with relevant authorities and professional bodies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal inspection and audit processes for the organization and sites
  • Provide regular communications about HSSE to line managers and employees at all levels
  • Ensure contractors are vetted and monitored for HSSE performance in collaboration with sourcing and line managers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Professional HSSE certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSSE management within facilities management or similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of applicable HSSE legislation and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver HSSE training programs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant field or advanced HSSE certifications
  • Experience working with facilities management or commercial real estate clients
  • Knowledge of HSSE management systems and audit processes
  • Experience in contractor management and performance monitoring
  • Strong analytical skills for HSSE metrics and data interpretation
  • Project management certification or experience
  • Multi-site or regional HSSE management experience

Location: Remote - supporting Central US so preferably sitting in CST

Work Shift: Regular day shift with on-call responsibilities

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
