Dunlap Rd & N. 3rd Ave Night Shift: 1900 - 0730 with rotating weekends and holidays Medical background preferred but not required HonorHealth is looking for a Network Operations Coordinator to support the the "brains of the operation" at the Command Hub at the Dunlap location. In this role you would be responsible for staffing the float pool positions and work with the RNs, float pool supervisors and other departments to ensure that staffing needs are met, address any call outs, responsible for bed placements, along with transfers within the same facility and intra-facility. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum requirements of a HSD/GED and have at least one year of related experience. To ensure success in the role a medical background would be value-added, but not necessary, detailed oriented, eager to learn, possess the ability to multi-task, and be a self-starter, one who asks questions in order to gain knowledge. Responsibilities Job Summary This Network Operations Coordinator supports the activities centrally supported within the Network Operations Center, and serves as the primary point of contact for the coordination of those activities. Demonstrates flexibility and initiative to diagnose issues and provide timely resolution supporting patient safety and process efficiency. Uses automated systems to optimize capacity and staffing management. Ensure staffing and scheduling needs are maintained, coordinate all aspects of patient placement, facilitate incoming and outgoing transfers and patient flow logistics. Works closely with hospital personnel at each facility to facilitate bed and service assignment. Works to optimize staffing and patient flow by monitoring and evaluating staffing activities and prioritizing admissions and transfers from multiple sources. Essential Functions Processes daily worksheets to reflect available staff on all nursing units and plans staffing needs for future shifts. In collaboration with the Administrative Representatives at each facility utilizes knowledge of different modes of patient care delivery on nursing units to appropriately schedule and assign staff to nursing units. Communicates with other hospital campus to ensure efficient usage of resources. Manages requests for patient transfers and direct admissions. Accurately collects the data required for the intake of patients from a variety of sources in compliance with governing regulations and policies. Coordinates provider to provider calls and accurately documents all acceptance calls. Uses critical thinking and established process flow to assess and facilitate patient movement across multiple facilities. Proactively collaborates with the Transfer Center, registration, nursing staff, and physicians with regard to proper bed placement. Appropriately assigns beds according to diagnosis, physician requests, and hospital policies while avoiding federal non-compliance and penalties to the hospital and physician. Effectively operates electronic systems and technology to optimize patient flow logistics, capacity management, and staffing and scheduling. Maintains confidentiality of information. May receive and record absent calls and notifies appropriate unit. Documents staff time changes on schedules via computer system. Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to adapt as organizational needs change throughout the shift. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary health care team to facilitate and ensure patient satisfaction. Education High School Diploma or GED - Required Experience 1 year related experience - Required 3 years related experience - Preferred Licenses and Certifications
