*Position Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to support our residential services team during the peak winter season. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and real-time troubleshooter, assisting customers with product inquiries, service needs, billing issues, and transaction support via a high volume of inbound calls.
This is a remote, 6-month contract position with the potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. *Key Responsibilities* * Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls with professionalism and empathy. * Troubleshoot service issues and provide real-time solutions. * Address inquiries related to products, billing, and transactions. * De-escalate challenging situations and maintain a positive customer experience. * Accurately document customer interactions and perform data entry tasks. *Required Skills & Qualifications* * Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a high-volume call center. * Strong communication and active listening skills. * Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure. * Proficient in data entry and basic office equipment. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365. * Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required. *Top Skills* * Customer Service * High-Volume Call Handling * Data Entry *Work Environment* * 100% Remote (Candidates must reside in the Pacific Standard Time Zone). * Must demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and adherence to schedule. * Productivity is monitored (e.g., time in queue, call status, adherence). * Shift Hours: Between 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM EST. * Holiday availability required (e.g., Christmas, New Year). *Equipment Provided* * Laptop * Dual Monitors * Headset * Docking Station * Credit Card Keypad *Employee Value Proposition* * Opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. * Overtime available, including Saturday mornings and extended shifts. *Business Context* This role supports our busiest season, from September through March, with peak call volumes in January and February. The team handles over 1,000 inbound calls per day, often from frustrated or distressed customers. Our top priority this season is improving customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service. Representatives must be resilient, empathetic, and skilled at managing difficult conversations, including issues like delivery delays and emergency outages. *Contract Details* * Duration: 6 months * Type: Contract (with potential for full-time conversion) *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
