Vice President, Marketing - Patient Engagement (remote)

JOB SUMMARY: As a senior member of the marketing team, the Vice President, Marketing will provide leadership and direction for marketing efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the VP, Marketing will also have matrixed accountability to divisional leadership, driving strategic prioritization for marketing initiatives that drive service and product-line growth, as well as new solutions creation.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree in marketing, business administration, communication or a related field desired.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 10 years in the clinical research arena in a prior marketing leadership role at a sponsor, CRO or professional services partner/consultancy experience preferred. CNS, CNS imaging, eCOA experience beneficial and preferred.
* This position requires an operational executive with an outstanding record of achievement; especially in identifying and planning differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/campaigns and materials.
* Demonstrated knowledge of market research.
* Exhibit fiscal responsibility by managing operations within budget guidelines.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans.
* Strong executional ability in campaign development, deployment and measurement, including familiarity and fluency with marketing automation tools and systems.
* Strong aptitude for verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship development.
* Top of the line problem solving abilities.
* Strong communicator in all formats with the ability to use their own initiative to solve problems; Great critical thinking skills.
* Excellent professionalism, outstanding business judgment and interpersonal skills required.
* Demonstrated leadership in helping to drive change, especially around efficiency and effectiveness measures.
* Excellent project management skills needed.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite, including high level of Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
* As a member of the Marketing leadership team, be responsible for the corporate marketing plans, strategy and development of team members.
* Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads.
* Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short-and-long term market forecasts and reports.
* Work closely with the business development department to align sales and marketing strategies.
* Manage marketing budget and expenditures.
* Use metrics to track, monitor and assess the status and success of marketing efforts
* Customer centric mindset, understanding voice of the customer
* Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.
* Establish and grow a target market share; Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies.
* Build long term relationships with clients.
* Lead all operational marketing activities, tasks and service to clients to ensure service is being met or exceeded within company standards.
* Define and implement marketing strategies, structures and processes.
* Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management.
* Develop positive relationships with key industry stakeholders (biopharma, CROs and other vendors, institutions/sites, consultancies, regulators).
* Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and refine marketing strategies.
* Create a culture of transparency and communication throughout the organization.
* Proactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect business interests.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
* Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The position will require the individual to be responsible for the management, direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of an assigned team and staff. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% - 20%
