Talent Acquisition Intern (Hybrid)

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking an Intern, Talent Acquisition to work with our Human Resources department. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop in the Talent Acquisition field. This position will provide recruitment assistance for our temporary and seasonal staff and administrative support to the Talent Acquisition Team.

Remote Worker Considerations:

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained virtually and must have the capability to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This position will require occasional onsite office work. ASH requires all onsite employees and employees who travel for their position to either (a) establish that they have been fully vaccinated; or (b) obtain an approved exemption as an accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates Seasonal Worker and Temporary Employee recruitment process for open positions.
  • Implements recruitment plan and sources candidates for open requisitions.
  • Reviews resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Administers appropriate assessment testing for candidates.
  • Performs phone and video interviews with candidates.
  • Coordinates hiring manager interviews.
  • Participates in virtual career fairs and blitzes.
  • Initiates background check reports and coordinates contingent drug screenings.
  • Confirms placement with hiring managers.
  • Represents Company in a positive, professional manner to all applicants ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Keeps Supervisor, Talent Acquisition Manager, and Hiring Managers informed on all issues of urgency.
  • Maintains all pertinent applicant, requisition, and interview data in HR systems.
  • Processes staffing requests within 24 hours and enters data in HR systems database.
  • Keeps HR systems and open position reports up to date and accurate.
  • Saves reports in appropriate folders.
  • Updates interview and applicant information in HR systems.
  • Provides weekly progress reports to Supervisor and/or Talent Acquisition Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field of study required. Junior or Senior student preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative or customer service experience required.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.
  • Experience with maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Interest in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively represent and promote the company to prospective candidates.

Mobility

Primarily sedentary, able to sit for long periods of time.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Environmental Conditions

Office and/or Work-from-home (WFH) environment.

Hourly Salary Range

American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $16.40 to $20.23 Hourly Wage
