We are currently looking for a detail-oriented, proactiveResearch Specialist - Flow Cytometryto work in the Moody Foundation Flow Cytometry Core facility under the direction ofDr. Sean Morrison at the Children's Medical Center Research Institute (CRI), UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. The Morrison lab's goal is to better understand the mechanisms that regulate stem cell function and how cancer cells hijack these mechanisms to enable tumor formation. A better understanding of these mechanisms offers the potential for new regenerative medicine and cancer therapies. For more information about the Morrison lab, please visit The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive professional who will support the lab's research in a specialized capacity with all aspects of flow cytometry, specimen analysis, core facility utilization scheduling, training, and day-to-day supervision of the Research Technician. This would be an excellent role for a scientifically-minded professional with strong flow cytometry experience who enjoys helping others build their technical skills and who is looking for a long-term stable position with a top-notch academic research facility.
